The Giving Machine, the popular “red vending machine” that gives users an opportunity to purchase a variety of much-needed items for local and global charities via the swipe of a credit or debit card, returned to Downtown Summerlin and The District at Green Valley Ranch today. With help from the Athletics team members Dallas Braden and Denzel Clarke, along with Stomper the mascot, the first donation at the Downtown Summerlin Giving Machine was made on November 12, 2025, at the Downtown Summerlin location. The Giving Machine then opened to the public with great excitement from the crowd in attendance.
Las Vegans can make donations at The Giving Machine by purchasing items for local nonprofits that range from $8 to $250 and include staples such as meals, clothing, diapers and formula, eyeglasses, car seats, and more. For the global charities, items include goats, clubfoot braces, prenatal vitamins, and refugee support to name a few.
This year’s local beneficiary organizations include Baby’s Bounty, Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada, Eyecare 4 Kids, Foster Kinship, Future Smiles, Helping Hands of Vegas Valley, The Just One Project, The Salvation Army, Three Square, and the Tyler Robinson Foundation. International nonprofits include Clubfoot Solutions, Mentors International, and Splash.
Since its inception in 2017, the #LightTheWorld Giving Machines, sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, have raised a total of more than $44 million for local and global charities. This year, the machines will be in 131 cities worldwide, including the two southern Nevada locations at Downtown Summerlin and The District at Green Valley Ranch. Last year over $350,000 was donated locally at The Giving Machines. The Giving Machines will remain through January 1, 2026.
