Dazzle Prom

Dazzle Prom

On February 13, 2026, the City of Las Vegas partnered with the Lone Mountain and Skye Canyon Stakes to host the second annual Dazzle Prom for individuals with different abilities.  The event was held at the Skye Canyon Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  More than 120 volunteers, which included youth buddies for the guests, along with over 50 caretakers, helped assist the more than 80 participants to make the evening a smashing success.  On the Wednesday night prior to the event, Councilwoman Nancy Brune and Councilwoman Francis Allen-Palenske visited guest Andrew Skouson at his home to let him know he was chosen as this year’s Prom King.  Cheerleaders from Centennial High School waved their pom poms as they ushered the guests into the building.  The guests were treated to tiaras and crowns, wrist bands, and corsages and boutonnieres.  A live DJ kept the action going on the dance floor, while other rooms featured pizza, desserts, a photo booth, games and other activities.  Councilwoman Brune and Councilwoman Allen-Palenske, along with local priesthood leaders Marc McRae and Bud Stoddard shared remarks during the evening.
