“He Lives”: Easter Events Across Las Vegas Inspire Faith, Hope, and Unity

Congregations throughout the Las Vegas area hosted a variety of Christ-centered events during the Easter season, inviting community members to reflect on the life, teachings, and greater love of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Events included musical performances, interactive “Walk With Jesus” experiences, and open house-style tours depicting moments from the Savior’s life, ministry, Atonement, and Resurrection. Through music, artwork, displays, the spoken word, and guided experiences, attendees were invited to deepen their understanding of Holy Week and the message of Easter.

Many events welcomed neighbors and friends of other faiths to participate, with thousands attending across the region. Hundreds of volunteers—including children and youth—helped bring these experiences to life through performances, service, and personal invitations to friends and neighbors.

Several events incorporated interactive elements for individuals and families, including guided tours, scripture recitations, and activities designed to engage children and reinforce the Easter story.

So many wonderful comments were made by attendees, including:

  • It was one of the best feelings I have ever felt. I felt Jesus’s love and I loved it.
  • I vow to live my life for Christ. And hold Him near and dear to my heart.
  • I felt humbled as I stood in the doorway of the tomb. Feeling the hope that broke through all the darkness. I am so thankful to know that He lives!
  • With all my might, mind & strength I will love God.
  • I felt extremely grateful for the Sacrifice of my Savior and the feeling of being with Him as He gave His all for me. I sought to fall down and worship Him.
  • On my walk today, I just keep thinking how grateful I am for this gospel. Jesus loves us!
  • It was a profoundly spiritual and healing experience.

The volunteers are also impacted by their participation. Tammie Stoker, Lake Mead Stake, said, “It literally took my breath so I’m very grateful to have a part in this and I’m grateful for my Savior.”

Organizers across the region emphasized the unity that was felt with participation from individuals of various faiths and backgrounds. Many attendees expressed gratitude for the opportunity to reflect on the Savior during the Easter Season how they felt a greater sense of peace, hope, and connection to Jesus Christ.
