JustServe was honored on Wednesday by the City of Las Vegas as the Mayor and City Council proclaimed February 5ika, 2025 as JustServe Day. The efforts of JustServe were recognized by Councilwoman Nancy E. Brune for their alignment with the city’s mission to build our community and to make life better for its residents.
Councilwoman Brune shared with the audience JustServe’s mission to connect individuals and groups seeking service opportunities with nonprofits with a host of needs and added, “JustServe is playing a critical role helping to build community, to make life better for our Southern Nevada residents, particularly those who have the greatest need.”
As described by Councilwoman Brune, JustServe is a movement to increase volunteerism and create “unity in the community.” It is powered by a website and an app linking organizations that rely on volunteers. Southern Nevada has over 21,000 registered users who completed over 3,600 service projects in 2024. www.JustServe.org is available at no charge for users, both volunteers and organizations.
